Doggy Dojo March 2026 Update: New Daycare Activities, Rec Room Refresh, and Community Meetups
March 2026

A Quick Update from the Dojo
As we head into spring, we wanted to share a few updates from the Dojo. We’ve been working on a few new ideas to make visits even more engaging for the dogs, along with some improvements around the facility.
Here’s what’s new.
New Activity Options for Daycare and Overnights
We’re excited to introduce a new way to add a little extra enrichment to your pup’s visit.
In the very near future, clients will be able to select one activity for their pup during daycare or overnight stays — included at no extra cost. Each pup can participate in one activity per visit.
We’ll begin piloting these activities on Saturdays as we refine the program.
Some of the first options will include:
Dojo Fetch Club – small group fetch sessions for exercise and engagement
Dojo Training Club – reinforcement of basic commands and polite behaviors
Dojo Sniff Club – simple nose work games that tap into a dog’s natural scenting instincts
Piloting Daycare Report Cards
We’ll also be piloting doggy daycare report cards on Saturdays to give clients a little more insight into their pup’s day.
These will include notes on things like energy level, play style, social interactions, and any activities they participated in.
If clients find them helpful, we may roll them out more broadly as part of our daycare and boarding services.
Rec Room Refresh
Some of you may have noticed a little activity in our Rec Room lately.
We recently removed the rubber flooring and are currently refreshing the floors in that space. The project is moving along well and should be completed later next week.
We’re looking forward to getting the room back into use for activities and community events.
Dojo Community Meetups
We’re planning to begin hosting monthly meetups for the Dojo community in our Rec Room starting in April.
Ideas we’re exploring include small dog meetups, breed-specific gatherings, and other casual get-togethers for pups and their humans.
More details will be announced soon.
Pup Health Reminder
Over the past two and a half months, we’ve had a few pups develop mild coughs after visiting the Dojo — about four cases in total. Thankfully, all have been minor. Some were diagnosed as kennel cough, while others appeared to be simple irritation or allergies.
Dogs in social environments like daycare can occasionally pick up bugs, similar to kids in school. Even when vaccinated, dogs can still get sick, though vaccines help reduce the severity of symptoms.
We also tend to see more stomach issues this time of year as snow melts and rain exposes things that have been sitting outside all winter. Dogs step in it, lick their paws, and sometimes end up with an upset stomach.
If your pup seems under the weather, please keep them home until they’re feeling better. And if symptoms show up after a visit, we appreciate you letting us know.
Lastly, please be sure to send us vaccine records as they get updated.
Thank You
Thank you for trusting us with your pups. The Dojo Family is what it is because of the great pups and people who are part of it.
We look forward to seeing you and your pups at the Dojo soon.
